Utah Doctor and Two Nurses Charged with Health Care Fraud After Submitting False Claims to Medicare and Receiving Millions in Payout
A podiatrist and two nurses allegedly submitted false claims to Medicare for skin substitute services that were medically unnecessary or provided to patients without qualifying wounds, did not pursue copayments, and allowed an unqualified provider to perform the services, resulting in Medicare paying $29 million.
